A birthday

Today, this 26th day of February, 2012 I and my family are celebrating the 78th anniversary of my birth.

I rejoice in the Lord for His great love for us,  for life, for forgiveness of sins, for everlasting life, for my wife, our 3 children, 11 grand children, our great grandchild, and all that He has blessed our family with.  I give thanks for our prayer partners, fellow bloggers, and even our enemies. I pray that everyone in my life has already accepted our Lord for salvation. For those who are still seeking I pray for a real new-birth through faith in Jesus.

It truly is a "Wonderful Life".

My Hand Still Feels So Small When Held by Daddy’s Hand!
written from my heart to your heart Daddy.....

A little girl, all dressed up with ribbons and bows,
All pampered and pretty from my head to my toes.
For today, I have a date with my handsome bough,
He’s my Daddy and out to dinner I proudly go.

Placing my hand in His and Kiss Mommy Goodbye,
I never understood those tears in her eyes.
I understand the importance Now that I am grown
Of those special dates, for I have children of my own.

I would crawl in Dads lap and whisper my dreams,
And give him a hug that was endless or so it seems.
Any time I was in need, he would rush to be there,
Brushing off a boo-boo, while saying a prayer.

Now when I pray, I climb upon GOD’S Knee,
From Daddy’s example, God is truly ALIVE to Me.
Times that I’m sad I can feel HIM brush away tears,
Just as my Dad has done for all of these years.

At 51 I can say without a shadow of doubt,
It’s from my Dad that I know what Gods Love’s all about.

Happy 78th Birthday Daddy!

All My Love,
Dee Dee

Dear Richard,

Many, many happy and healthy returns of this day to you, now that you've reached the age of 78 young and youthful years. As a true believer in our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, I declare and decree total healing to your body as you continue to be a true blessing to the people you touch with your word on a daily ongoing basis. May you be blessed and prosper in all the days the Lord has given you to be a valuable tool in His holy and powerful name. Amen and Amen.

Happy Birthday!!! May God bless you with many many more wonderful years teaching and spreading Gods word. I have watched you set a fire under men and women that were beaten by life and its many trials and tribulations you have blessed my study group more than you'll ever know!!! Im a firm believer in "Reaping what you sew" so I know the years to come are going to be AMAZING because you have sewn ABUNDANT LIFE into so many people by being such a great man of God, Father, Grandfather and friend.
