CAREFUL !

2 Corinthians 4
New International Version (NIV)
Present Weakness and Resurrection Life
4 Therefore, since through God’s mercy we have this ministry, we do not lose heart. 2 Rather, we have renounced secret and shameful ways; we do not use deception, nor do we distort the word of God. On the contrary, by setting forth the truth plainly we commend ourselves to everyone’s conscience in the sight of God. 3 And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing. 4 The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. 5 For what we preach is not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake. 6 For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,”[a] made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of God’s glory displayed in the face of Christ.

Therefore, since through God’s mercy we have this ministry, we do not lose heart. 2 Rather, we have renounced secret and shameful ways; we do not use deception, nor do we distort THE WORD OF GOD.2Cor.4 1:-2 (above)

Paul condemns those who twist God’s Word.
Preachers, teachers, and anyone else who talks about Jesus Christ must remember that they stand in God’s presence--He hears every word.  Many Christian ministers and leaders twist Scripture in their attempt to motivate audiences.  Others take Scripture out of context to promote their own views. When you tell people about Christ be careful not to distort the message to please  your audience. Proclaim the truth of God’s Word. If what you say in any way changes the  Word just to please the listener,  That's not good and is the seed that causes friction and division in the Church. Jesus taught, preached, the TRUTH and many were offended, because Satan clouded the minds of non-believers.
The Apostles preached and practiced the truth and died for being faithful to GOD'S WORD.

Daddy, this is such an important word...when so many are doing the 'politically correct' thing by saying whatever is popular!
As a family we pray daily for Grace because we know we miss the mark so often. We pray daily to be salt and light as Jesus has commanded.
Heavenly Father,

Thank you that you made us in your image.

Help us to reflect your light and your image in this world.

Thank you that you made us the light of the world.

Help us to never shrink back from who we are.

Thank you that we are not meant to be hidden.

Strengthen us to live as a city on a hill.

Thank you for your grace.

May you be pleased with our good deeds offered in response to your grace and may they bring glory to you.

Thank you that you have called us the salt of the earth.

Help us to be salty.

Let us bring out the flavors of righteousness, love, and mercy in this world.

Help us to salt the world.

Let us lead others to eternal preservation through Christ Jesus.

Help us to sting as salt does in a wound.

Let us speak the truth in love so that others may come to know the Truth.

Mix us into the earth as to salt the fields of a defeated enemy.

Let us proclaim that death is defeated by our Lord Jesus Christ!

Father,

You told us that we are salt and we are light.

You told us that we are, not will be these things.

Help us to remove all doubt and disbelief,

And live as the salt of the earth and light of the world,

So that you may be pleased with us.

Amen.

Thank you Uncle Richard! As christians we all need to remember that his word is true, and is we abide in him he will abide in us.We are never to manipulate the word of God!

Revelation 22:18-19

I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book, and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book.

I love you thank you for your constant inspiration!
