REASONS TO PRAISE GOD

Ever feel like you just can't find a reason to Praise of Lord?? As we have considered in past blogs, when in the doldrums Praise Him.  David in his psalm as recorded in #103 gives us plenty of things to reflect upon that are worthy of praise to the Highest Heaven.

Let us take this time to read and consider the MANY ways that God blesses us daily and even moment by moment.

Psalm 103 "Let all that I am praise the Lord;with my whole heart, I will praise His Holy Name.
Let all that I am praise the Lord; may I never forget the good things He does for me.
He forgives all my sins and heals all my diseases.
He redeems me from death and crowns me with love and tender mercies.
He fills my life with good things.
My youth is renewed  like the eagle's!

The Lord gives righteousness
and justice to all who are treated unfairly.

He revealed His character to Moses
and His deeds to the people of Israel.
The Lord is compassionate and merciful,
slow to anger and filled with unfailing love.

He will not constantly accuse us,
nor remain angry forever.

He does not punish us for all our sins;
He does not deal harshly with us, as we deserve.
For His unfailing love toward those who fear Him
is as great as the height of the heavens above the earth.
He has removed our sins as far from us
 as the east us from the west.

The Lord is like a father to his children
tender and compassionate to those who fear Him.
For He knows how weak we are;
He remembers we are only dust.
Our days on earth are like grass;
like wildflowers, we bloom and die.
The wind blows and we are gone--
as though we had never been here.
But the love of the Lord remains forever
with those who fear Him."

David, a sinner saved by the grace of God, wrote these words centuries before the Advent of our Lord and Savior Jesus, the completion of  all that God has for us.  Not knowing what Jesus would have in store for all who fear the Lord and obey His commands.  Imagine the Praise that He would lift up to God had he seen the Great Love of God our Father that was to come through His gift of His Begotten Son Jesus.

All of the promises and praise for that which he understood he was actually prophesying of the day of REDEMPTION THROUGH JESUS.

Times tough?  Remember that God has placed all of the punishment due to us for our sins upon Jesus who willingly paid the price through His suffering and death and resurrection.

"HE HAS REMOVED OUR SINS AS FAR FROM US AS THE EAST IS FROM THE WEST. If you were to draw a line to the east and the west, that line extending straight out, not following the curvature of the Earth, would go on to infinity.  God does not remember the sins that we have confessed and repented of, so let us not torture ourselves over sins that exist no more.

PRAISE HIM!! PRAISE HIM IN ALL THINGS!! PRAISE HIM UNDER ALL CIRCUMSTANCES AND DWELL ON HIS GIFT OF EVERLASTING LIFE IN OUR GLORIFIED BODIES TO COME, IN THE PRESENCE OF PERFECT LOVE OF GOD OUR FATHER.

Praising God helps to restore our relationship with him. He is worthy of our praise and in doing so we draw closer to Him, become more aware of His power, mercy, grace and forgiveness.

Sending love and blessings, Tom and Kathy

Makes you look at dust in a very different way. I'd have to say I've had some very important dust fill my life. Yes we bloom and die but it is what happens between both that matters. Will we speak life and live the life God has for us? Let us remember before that wind blows us away that we're surrounded by amazing dust that God has placed in our lives. Dust that is filled with love.

Thank you for reminded us with your blog how important not only how important we are to each other but how important God is to all of us.

Daddy,

As I was reading this message...with tears....I AM SOOO Thankful that God not only forgives But FORGETS! I don't know why Jesus Loves me...OH BUT I'm Glad, so glad He Does!

Priase through even the tough times...
There is SUCH POWER in Praise.
When we praise the LORD...the chains that Satan tried to attached to us WILL fall behind us WHEN WE PRAISE the LORD for OUR God Inhabits our Praise!!!! Webster defines Inhabit as "lives in or occupies" YES...When we PRAISE God HE Occupies our mind,body and soul. When We PRAISE the Lord!

I love you,
Dee
